TRFC Youth Summer Camp 2026: Inspiring the Next Generation of Rugby Players

The TRFC Youth Summer Camp returned in 2026 with another fantastic two days of rugby, learning, and fun for young players across the club. Organised and delivered by a dedicated team of volunteer youth coaches, this annual event continues to provide valuable opportunities for junior players to develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game in a supportive environment.

For many years, Taunton Rugby Football Club's Youth Section has hosted a summer camp for its younger age groups, and this year was no exception. Coaches from the Under 7s through to the Under 15s once again gave up their time during the summer holidays to coach, encourage, and support the club's youngest rugby enthusiasts.

Over 100 attendees joined us across the two-day camp, taking part in a variety of fun games and rugby-focused activities. Through play-based learning, participants developed both new and existing rugby skills while also embracing the core values of the game: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and Sportsmanship.

A New Addition for2026: "Train Like a Titan"

This year's camp also introduced an exciting new initiative for the club's older age groups, with thirty-five players taking part in the inaugural Train Like a Titan day; enjoying the unique opportunity to learn directly from Titans Coaches and Legends. The day focused on developing advanced rugby skills, game understanding, and the mindset required to progress through the club's pathway.

It was an inspiring experience that connected the younger generation with role models who once stood in their shoes, demonstrating what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and a love of the game.

A Huge Thank You

TRFC Youth Section would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the volunteer youth coaches who generously gave their time to organise and run both summer camp events.

Special thanks also go to Charlie and Nick, former Taunton Youth players, Taunton Titans and now coaches, for giving their time to help inspire the next generation of aspiring Titans & Warriors.

The success of the first "Train Like a Titan" day has created a strong foundation, and everyone involved hopes it will become a regular feature of the TRFC summer programme for years to come.
