The league leaders head to the Commsplus Stadium aiming to keep their run going

A few weeks ago this would have been 1st v 2nd in the National League 2 South standings but with the Titans loss at Barnes in their last outing which saw them slipping down a place, so the Titans are looking to close the gap on the Rams this weekend rather than looking to overtake them.

Last season the honours were even with both teams winning their home games, Taunton winning 31 - 21 at the end of last November and the then Redingensian Rams won 31 - 15 in late March. Overall the Rams outscored the Titans 8 tries to 6 over the two games with the Titans tries coming from Brett Harvey, Nick Mason, Aron Struminski & Ollie Rice in the first game with Andy Hamilton scoring two in the return fixture.

This season the newly named Rams have won 9 out of the 10 games and claiming a try bonus point in everyone of their wins. Their only defeat this season has come away to Old Albanians in an 18 - 10 loss, so although top their is a chink in their armour and it is up to the Titans to try and find it.

After a week off from league rugby there has still been plenty of rugby at the Commsplus Stadium with the Warriors putting in two quality performances, one in the Somerset Cup with a win over a determined Winscombe and on Wednesday night a great entertaining game against the Army U23's and after some great displays from the players the selection reflects the hard work of those players.

From the last league game in the front row Chris Francis swaps with Sam Williams, with Sam dropping to the bench, in the back row in come Dan Ogden, Jamie Fleming and Ben Oliphant-Thompson. Jacob Nash gets the nod a scrum half with Lewis Webb moving out to fly half. The centres are made up of Toby East and Nick Mason with Ollie Rice moving out one place to the wing. On the bench sees a few more players that have stood up to be counted over the last few weeks come in and claim a place in the squad with Sonny Haines, Andy England, Charlie Williams and Freddie Fraser making his return from his injury.
