This weekend’s fixture between Taunton Titans and Birmingham Moseley has now been postponed due to a covid outbreak within the Birmingham squad. Taunton RFC will still have a fixture and will still show a sign of respect to the armed forces with a special service. National League Rugby have said “On the advice of our medical officer, this Saturday’s game between Birmingham Moseley Rugby and Taunton Titans has been postponed due to covid-19concerns. As it stands, it will be scheduled for November 6th, but National League Rugby will review the situation and announce a confirmed date in due course.”
Obviously, this is a huge blow for Taunton RFC after 5/7 games being away from home with 3games being overnight trips for the Titans. The Warriors will now be in action at15:00 against a Exeter University Select XV with a special armed forces remembrance service taking place prior to kick off. The 200 + guests booked in for lunch prior to the game have agreed to join us for this special service and game which TRFC are extremely grateful for.
We are now hoping that as many Taunton RFC Supporters still choose to come and support the Warriors and the TRFC Armed Forces Day. This will be Free entry to all but with a Titan atmosphere.
