Easter weekend started early on Good Friday at 04.30am for the Taunton Rebels U15’s, the Berrys bus rolling out at 04.55 from Taunton RFC!! Heading off to the Netherlands on a Bank Holiday was bound to be fun!

Luckily with some savvy driving from our bus driver Kevin, we made our ferry from Dover at the scheduled time and crossed the channel to Calais, a first for some!

After a long journey across France, Belgium & The Netherlands the 27 Rebels & their parents finally arrived at their accommodation at 9pm and stretched the legs!

Saturday saw the Rebels visit Amsterdam, before returning to relax with a dip in the pool for most. A HUGE amount of Pizza from a local Pizzeria rounded off the evening for all!

Sunday was the Hilversum Festival, which was celebrating its25th Year! Teams from all over Europe in all age groups up to U18.Having so many players on tour, we were happy to help out a fellow U15 team the ZRC De Duuvals by loaning them some players for all of their games, as they were coming up short on the day. A real chance for the boys to experience rugby at its best!

The lads played 4 games, winning 2, narrowly losing 2 with 12 players helping out our new friends the ZRC De Duuvals as well. Well done Rebels!!

Finally Easter Monday it was time to go home, a bit later start which was appreciated! Finally returning home at 21:30 to TRFC, all tired but an amazing experience to remember!

The Rebels would like to thank Burleigh Travel, Berrys Coaches, IRYF Hilversum, Europarc De Rijp & especially the ZRC De Duuvals for a tour to remember!
