Taunton RFC took the trip down to Redruth on Saturday 21.08.21 to play in a pre-season game.

Redruth had a good turnout for the game with a good number of former players, junior players and supporters of the club turn up to see the opening of the newly refurbished ‘Terry Pryor stand’.

The weather cleared meaning the conditions were dry which made for an entertaining game. Both sides enjoyed good spells of possession with the set piece being a good battle with neither side really getting the advantage.

Taunton took a large squad with them; it was good to see more combinations and players in new roles as preparations ramp up even more as we head closer to the National One season. The final score of the game was 24-19 in favour to Redruth.

Taunton are next at home this Friday (27.08.21) when they play Cardiff Met. The 2ndXV game will kick at 18:30 followed straight after by the Titans Kicking off at 20:30.
