Exciting New Signings and Familiar Faces Returning to Taunton Rugby Club for 2025 Season

Taunton Rugby Club is proud to announce a dynamic mix of new talent and returning favourites who will be pulling on the jersey for the 2025 season. As we build momentum both on and off the field, these additions reflect our continued commitment to competitive excellence, team culture, and long-term development.

New Signings Bring Fresh Energy

We’re thrilled to welcome a couple of new faces to the squad—each bringing their own strengths, experience, and hunger to make a mark at Taunton.

Tom Putt, Fly Half joins us from Plymouth Albion, known for their accurate and Boot and controlled play.

Scott Gibson, Scrum Half a standout from Brecon, is one to watch as he has experience at a higher level playing for Cardiff in LV and the Celtic Cup.

“We’ve targeted players who not only have the physical attributes to thrive in our system but also the character to fit into the Taunton family,” said Tony Yapp. “The response to the club’s vision has been fantastic, and we’re confident these new additions will strengthen us across the park.”

Familiar Faces, Unfinished Business

Alongside our new recruits, we’re equally excited to confirm the return of several fan favourites who are set to rejoin the squad for 2025.

Captain Ratu Vakalutukali will return alongside the other impressive back rowers in Charlie Wright and Joe Elsworth. As well as the back row the following players will be returning to Taunton RFC for the 2025 /26 Season:
