It is with great sadness that we must report the death of former Taunton 1st XV Captain Paul Duggan who passed away on Saturday 23rd September.
Paul joined Taunton in 1968 bringing with him an extensive rugby knowledge gained playing previously for Clifton, Glamorgan Wanderers and Wasps RFC, he was elected 1stXV Captain for the start of the 1969/70 season.
After finishing playing Paul involved himself with youth rugby at Taunton and especially the Colts and he was made Clubman of the Year in 1983/84 eventually “hanging up his boots” in1989/90.
He was ever present at Taunton home matches and for a long time kept his own playing records and statistics.
Our condolences at this very sad time go out to wife Julia, sons Mark and Andrew and daughter Louisa coupled with their extended families and friends.
The Funeral will take place at Taunton Crematorium on 12th October at 13:20
