Taunton Titans return to home soil this weekend as they welcome Lymm to Summerfield Stadium, looking to build on one of their most impressive performances of the season.

The Titans head back to Somerset full of confidence after a standout victory last weekend, where they defeated league leaders Camborne 38–31 in Cornwall. In doing so, Taunton completed a remarkable double over the table-toppers and became the first side to beat Camborne on home soil in almost two years. It was a result that underlined the Titans’ quality, resilience, and ability to deliver in high-pressure situations against the league’s strongest opposition.

That performance not only demonstrated Taunton’s attacking threat but also highlighted their character, with the side producing a composed and clinical display away from home. It was a statement result at a crucial stage of the season and one that will provide plenty of belief within the squad heading into the final run of fixtures.

The victory saw Taunton strengthen their position in the top four, with the Titans now sitting fourth in the league on 72 points. With the season entering its closing stages, every result becomes increasingly important, and the opportunity to return to Summerfield Stadium presents a chance to build further momentum in front of home support.

This weekend’s visitors, Lymm, arrive in Somerset currently ninth in the table with 56 points. They come into the fixture following a 32–26 home defeat to Hornets and will be determined to respond positively. Lymm have proven throughout the campaign that they are a competitive and well-organised side, capable of challenging teams across the league, and they will be aiming to put in a strong performance on the road.

For the Titans, the focus will be on maintaining the standards set last weekend. Having shown their ability to compete with and beat the league leaders, Taunton will be targeting another disciplined and effective display, particularly in front of their home crowd. Summerfield Stadium has been an important venue for the Titans this season, and they will be keen to make the most of home advantage as the campaign draws towards its conclusion.

The club is also pleased to welcome A1 Windows and Doors as match sponsor for the fixture, with Citadel Financial supporting as match ball sponsor. The continued backing of local businesses plays a vital role in supporting rugby at Taunton Rugby Club, and the club extends its thanks for their valued support. The club is also excited to be hosting a Ladies Day Lunch alongside the fixture, adding to what promises to be a fantastic occasion at Summerfield Stadium.

Elsewhere, Taunton Warriors are also in action this weekend as they travel to face Chosen Hill Former Pupils. The Warriors squad continues to showcase the strength of the club’s developing talent, and this fixture provides another important opportunity for players to gain valuable experience in a competitive environment. After a challenging previous outing, the side will be eager to return to winning ways and build confidence as they continue their progression.

With both sides in action this weekend, it promises to be another important round of fixtures for Taunton Rugby Club. Supporters can look forward to an exciting afternoon at Summerfield Stadium, as the Titans aim to carry their recent form forward and secure another valuable result.
