Titans return home looking to make it four from four

The Taunton Titans return to Summerfield Stadium this Saturday as they welcome Hornets for the M5 Derby and another National 2 West fixture, kick-off at 3pm.

The Titans head into the weekend with plenty of confidence after an excellent start to the 2026/27 campaign, winning all three of their opening fixtures.

After beginning the season with a convincing 53-17 victory over Devonport Services, Taunton followed that up with a hard-fought 24-12 win away at Barnstaple before producing another impressive attacking display last weekend, defeating Exeter University 61-21 at Topsham Rugby Club.

That result made it three wins from three, with the Titans scoring an impressive 138 points across their opening matches.

HUNGRY HORNETS

Standing in their way this weekend are Hornets, who arrive in Taunton having experienced a mixed start to their campaign.

After three games, Hornets have recorded one victory and two defeats, meaning they will be looking to make a statement on Saturday and get their season back on track.

The Titans will therefore be expecting another competitive challenge, particularly from a side that will be keen to put their recent results behind them.

With Hornets looking to pick up a valuable away victory and Taunton aiming to maintain their perfect record, both sides have plenty of motivation heading into the weekend.

TITANS AIMING FOR FOUR

The Titans have shown plenty of attacking quality during the opening three weeks, with the squad's new additions settling in quickly and established players continuing to make an impact.

Last weekend's 61-21 victory demonstrated the depth of attacking options available to the Titans, with eight tries shared across the side.

However, Head Coach Tony Yapp and his squad will know that the early-season momentum counts for little unless they continue to deliver each week.

With the benefit of home advantage and the support of the Summerfield crowd behind them, Taunton will be looking to produce another disciplined performance and maintain their unbeaten start.

BACK AT SUMMERFIELD

After two consecutive away fixtures, the Titans will be delighted to return to Summerfield Stadium.

The opening home game against Devonport Services saw a packed stadium create an excellent atmosphere, and the Titans will be hoping for another strong turnout as they look to make it four wins from four.

There is plenty to look forward to, with the Titans currently sitting among the early pace-setters in National 2 West and Hornets arriving determined to cause an upset.
