The Taunton Titans make the short trip up the M5 this Saturday as they take on Old Redcliffians in what promises to be a fiercely contested National League 2 West clash.

Taunton arrive in strong form and sitting 7th in the table on 35 points, boosted by last weekend’s excellent 51–28 win over Syston at Summerfield Stadium. The performance showcased the Titans’ attacking quality, improved accuracy, and the growing confidence within the squad as we move toward the halfway point of the season.

Old Redcliffians currently sit 11th on 26 points, but that position doesn’t tell the whole story. They have earned multiple losing bonus points throughout the campaign, underlining just how competitive they have been — staying close in games right to the final whistle. That was the case again last weekend, when they narrowly lost 18–15 away to Hornets at The Nest.

With that in mind, this fixture has all the hallmarks of a tight and hard-fought contest. Old Reds are well known for being a gritty, resilient home side who thrive on physical collisions and contest heavily at the breakdown. Their ability to stay in games makes them dangerous, especially on their own pitch.

For the Titans, the challenge will be to carry over last week’s momentum — bringing tempo, discipline and clinical finishing to one of the league’s trickier away grounds. If Taunton can control territory and maintain the same attacking sharpness that has emerged in recent performances, they’ll back themselves to come away with another important result.

With this being one of the closest away trips of the season, it would be fantastic to see strong travelling support. Your backing always lifts the boys.

A big Saturday awaits — and another chance for the Titans to keep climbing. Come on you Titans!

For those who are looking for some local action the Taunton Warriors will be playing against Gordon League at Summerfield Stadium.
