In support of Armed Forces Week as a Silver Covenant Holder Taunton Rugby Football Club would like to wish Phil Eastley great success in his last part of the journey. Army Engineer Commando Veteran Phil Eastley will be bike packing from John O Groats to Lands’ End (JOGLE) as of Thursday 02 June 2022 aiming to reach his destination at Lands’ End by Thursday 16 June 2022 in order to raise funds for Team Endeavour Wheelchair Rugby & Cycle Club.

Phil aims to bike pack 1000 miles in 14 days unsupported stopping at various hostels and campsites on route. Phil’s brother-in-law Al Strudwick is an Intelligence Corp Army Veteran and is a team member of the Endeavour Punishers which supports veterans and their dependants by promoting sport for all. Team Endeavour comprises of Great British Wheelchair Rugby Fives classified players, Invictus and H4H players, wounded, injured or sick in-service veterans. The challenge will raise funds for Team Endeavour to purchase specially adapted wheelchairs for those who may wish to play competitive wheelchair rugby in the southwest. Taunton Rugby Football Club are proud to support this endeavour and is the process of forming a wheelchair side to compete in the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby League next year.
