The Titans make their first trip to the capital this weekend when they take on London Irish Wild Geese. The teams currently sit at opposite ends of the table with the Wild Geese yet to get off the mark this season. Last season London Irish started slow as well but came good later in the season and their season started to turn around when they hosted the Titans last November when they ran out winner s 45 - 38 in an epic game. The Geese were 21 - 0 up after 8 minutes and had scored 6 tries before half time. The Titans came back in the second half but left themselves far too much to do and London Irish were deserved winners.
In the return fixture in March it was the Titans that ended up the winners. With both teams scoring 4 tries apiece it was the boot of Gary Kingdom that made the difference with the score 31 - 24. Taunton's discipline that day nearly cost them dearly when at one point they were reduced to 13 players when Lewis Webb was shown a yellow followed by a red card for Sam Prior.
This weekend Taunton will need to improve from there previous showings to make sure they get something from the game. There are few changes from last weeks starting team as the Titans picked up a few injuries against Canterbury. Freddie Fraser (ankle), Oscar Kolowski (ankle), Jacob Nash (ankle), Connor Baker (back), Sam Prior (weight) have all been rested and with Milo Reynolds unavailable there are three changes each in the forwards and backs. In comes Noah Sixton, Aron Struminski and Lewis Webb come in to the backs and Isaac Dalton, Cory Teague and Ben Oliphant-Thompson in to the forwards. This means there are places on the bench for Alfie Petch, Stu Persey and Oli Toomey.
