Taunton RFC are delighted to announce a new main sponsor for the 22/23 season. JR Veterinary have stepped into the fold as a new main sponsor. JR Veterinary are a family run Recruitment Agency specialising in Veterinary Recruitment. They are dedicated to supporting both clients and candidates in their recruitment journey.

Jânko Salzwedel is the Managing Director of the company and will be a familiar face to many, often heard and seen on the side-line supporting the Titans both here at Veritas Park but also all over the country. Janko is assisted by Jane Fraser who herself has been a long-term supporter of Taunton RFC, through player sponsorship and matchday lunches. Their commitment to supporting our club both home and away is remarkable.  On the JR Team is Gary Kingdom, a man who needs no introduction, Gary is the Social Media and Recruitment Resourcer at JR Veterinary. They are assisted by team members Samantha and another new member due to join on the 4th July.

We asked Jânko Why Taunton RFC? Her answer shows their commitment to Taunton RFC and our community: “Being a family run business we wanted to give back to the community, we feel that sport is a major part of wellbeing and is also a huge help for strong mental health. By Choosing to become a main sponsor of Taunton we feel we can help the community as well as the players within the club. Having key links with Freddie and Gary only makes the decision easier to invest and support. We have been apart of the club for 8 years and love watching the club grow and it feels the right time now JR are able to invest and try something to help and support a sport that really struggled during Covid 19.”

Nick Mason the Commercial Manager for Taunton RFC said “We are all so excited and grateful to secure the support from JR for next season. Having known Jânko for several years I have to raise my cap for the impressive way she has grown JR in such a short period of time. We have so much to look forward to with this new partnership and It’s been a pleasure to have these conversations over the last couple of months in finalising this deal. We are both as excited as each other to get the 22/23 season up and running and our Saturdays getting back to what we know best, supporting Taunton RFC.”

We wanted to know how our supporters and members could help support one of our new main sponsors, Jânko was quick to put the emphasis back on Taunton RFC “When we made the decision to become a main sponsor this was not done for selfish reasons, we genuinely want to help and support the club. We have been fortunate that most of our work comes through referrals / word of mouth. We have already benefited because of the networking links through Taunton RFC. People can support us by just coming down on their Saturday and supporting Taunton.”

Jânko has seen the club develop and go from strength to strength within her 8 years being associated with Taunton RFC. We asked what her highlight has been up to this point and for her it was the promotion into National One, although we were all in lockdown at this point Janko appreciates how many years of hard work went into this promotion ‘Although the promotion was affected by covid and not the way the club, players or supporters would have wanted it does not take away what a huge achievement this is and it was nothing less than everyone associated with the club deserved”

We now look forward to the 22/23 season with JR alongside us as one of our Main Sponsors. As part of their package, you will see additional advertisement around the ground, they will feature along other main sponsors on some exciting projects coming up in the 22/23 season and will be the match ball sponsor for two fixtures within the season. They will also have the player sponsorships of two key Titans which we will be announcing in due course. When we asked JR what they are most looking forward to about the new season Jânko said “It has been great seeing the club progress in National One. As a business we are looking forward to seeing what the team can do in the22/23 season and hopefully coming out the other side of covid it will allow for things to get back to 100% normality. The pre match lunches are always great fun and we know there is special planning going into next years already so we can’t wait to be in attendance for them again and can network with local people and businesses from across the Southwest. We would love to see Freddie back out there again after his season was cut short on the first game of last season. Now that Gary is an employee of JR it would be amazing to see him play his 300th Game for the Titans"

Thank you JR Veterinary for the support.
