That intriguing title is the banner for the history of Taunton Rugby Football Club which has been written by journalist, Kerry Miller, and which is now nearing completion before its passage to the printer. As the Club approaches the milestone of it's 150th anniversary this book covers not only the development of the Club but tells the story of some of the interesting moments and characters that

have contributed to make this such an enjoyable literary journey from Victorian Taunton to the Taunton Titans’ arrival in National Division One, the third tier of English Rugby Football.

Before Kerry lays down his quill an opportunity exists for anyone associated with Taunton RFC to include in a “Memoriam” section any reference to themselves or family members or others to mark their contribution to that history. It is suggested that just two or three lines would be sufficient with you deciding the content along with a contribution of a minimum of £25 towards costs.

If this is something you would wish to do please contact Richard Walford on 01823 - 335471 who will liaise with Kerry to arrange inclusion. Publication, with appropriate bells and whistles, is likely to be in the New Year when Covid has receded and we are able to gather together once more to enjoy our rugby and each other’s company.

Keep taking the tablets!

With very best regards.

Dick Macey.   President Taunton RFC.
