This section of the website details some sponsorship opportunities for your consideration, but in addition I thought it would be useful to detail a little background of the history of Taunton Rugby Club...

We were formed in 1876 and have played at several grounds, with the move to our current home at Hyde Park made in 2001. We are a very successful club, both on and off the pitch, with the commercial side of the club running at a healthy profit, supporting our rugby which encompasses age groups from 5 years old through to veterans and ladies. The club is open seven days a week for rugby, meetings, seminars, conferences and celebrations and being a most sought after venue,  there is 24/7 exposure.

However the talking point within the county town of Taunton is the club's 1st XV squad, which has recently had an unprecedented run of success, playing 46 consecutive league matches without defeat over a period of some 22 months. This amazing record was recognized by the BBC sports department, where, at the BBC West Sports Award ceremony held at Bath University, Taunton Rugby Club were presented with the "Team Of The Year" award for 2009. Needless to say the club is very proud to have been singled out for this prestigious award, especially when there were many other worthy contenders.

I feel there is no better time to become involved in such a success story, as the 1st XV have achieved a second consecutive league promotion and are now playing National level rugby next season while the 2nd XV produced a commendable performance, finishing runners-up in the Somerset Premier League; this of course comes at a price and we currently have the budget in place to fund this success but are still talking to interested parties who wish to be part of the future of Taunton Rugby.
