Membership and Entrance Prices

Taunton RFC always welcome new members, players or non-players alike. Our 1st XV currently compete in National League 2 South (Level 4), whilst our 2nd XV and 3rd XV compete in Somerset Premier (Level 8) and Somerset 2 South (Level 10) respectively. The club also run two age levels of Fillies (girls), a Colts XV, as well as minis and juniors age groups for players aged 6 to 16 years. Whatever your ability there will be a team here to suit you

1st XV squad training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, commencing promptly at 6:45pm. 2nd & 3rd XV squad training takes place on Wednesday nights (see article here for details), also commencing at 6:45pm.

Non-players are just as welcome at the club, and if you become a member you will be entitled to the current 10% discount on bar purchases when using your membership 'Smartcard' as well as voting rights (18s and over only) at the club AGM.

Please Note:

Prospective new or renewing members for the 2011-12 season wishing to watch 1st XV league rugby at Hyde Park will also need to purchase either a Season Ticket (see prices below) or pay match entrance prices as stated below. Membership alone (unless a Life Patron or Life Member) does not grant free entrance to these fixtures. 

If you do not wish to join the club, you can still apply for a non-member Season Ticket else non-member entrance prices will apply. Whatever you decide to do we promise you a warm and friendly welcome and hope that you will remain a part of Taunton RFC for the foreseeable future.

House Rules

  • Playing kit, boots, or soiled trainers are not to be worn anywhere in the 1st floor area of the clubhouse
  • Kitbags may be left in the bar foyer after matches and training but please take your belongings home with you when you leave the premises
  • Use of the fitness training room is strictly restricted to members aged 16 years and over. Users must read and comply with the gymnasium rules & etiquette displayed inside the training room and wear appropriate clean gym kit and footwear
  • Lost property (which includes abandoned kit bags) is redeemable for £1.00 (proceeds to charity)
  • Smoking is prohibited anywhere within the clubhouse building
  • In the interest of hygiene and safety to players, dogs may not be exercised anywhere within the club grounds and must be kept on a lead throughout any visit. Dogs, other than guide dogs, are not permitted in the clubhouse
  • Club members and supporters are reminded that they are representatives of Taunton Rugby Football Club and as such should act in a responsible manner when visiting Hyde Park and other grounds
