Taunton Honour Coach's Memory
Taunton Under 16's will be the first team to have their
name on the Rob Williamson Memorial Trophy.
They beat their Wimborne counterparts 32 - 15 in the first
game played in remembrance of Rob Williamson, Taunton junior rugby coach
who tragically died in April this year.
Rob worked for DB Foods in Wimborne and they were among
the sponsors of the game along with Clarkes Coaches and Taunton and
Wimborne RFC respectively.
Although this was a sad occasion, honouring the memory of
Rob, it was a game played in the true spirit of rugby with total
commitment from each side. (see Match
